About Parkhead Welding Co Ltd
About PWC
Parkhead Welding Co Ltd was established in 1971 by Billy Rafferty a professional boxer who was born and bred in the East End of Glasgow, the business is still very much a family run concern with Billy Rafferty Jnr acting as Managing Director.
The business started working from a railway arch on Stamford St, Barrowfield and progressed to a small yard in Quarryknowe St, Parkhead in 1976. Since then, the turnover has steadily increased resulting in the need for larger premises, additional plant and personnel, this was achieved in December 2005 when the company transferred to its current premises at 201 Baltic Street, Dalmarnock, Glasgow.
Our present manufacturing site has also seen considerable growth and expansion since 2005 with the introduction of additional offices, workshop and yard space to help us meet the growing demand for our services and products. We have overhead craneage facilities along with an extensive range of modern fabrication equipment and an experienced workforce with in house drawing/design facilities.
Constant investment from within the Company allows us to utilise the latest equipment, software and machinery to produce and manufacture fabrications efficiently whilst also enabling us to retain our highly experienced workforce and continue with staff development and training.
With over 50 years of experience in the metal fabrication industry, we can offer our clients an unrivalled service offering a range of products including structural steel frames, secondary steel, staircases, architectural metalwork including stainless steel and glass balustrading systems.
